Taco (soup) Tuesday in a Slow Cooker

This week I saw at least three people share their
Taco Soup recipes. So of course I had to make some and
share my favorite recipe with you!

Whats amazing about this is, everyone loves it,
it is so easy to make and of course delicious!

*Note - I doubled the recipe and put it in an extra large crock pot,
as you will notice in my pictures.

Ingredients

1 lb extra lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped (I use chopped frozen onions)
1 (16 oz) can chili beans, with liquid
1 (16 oz) can kidney beans with liquid
1 (15 oz) can whole kernel corn with liquid
1 (29 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (28 oz) can stewed tomatoes
1 (4 oz) can diced green chile peppers
1 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning
1 pkg Taco Bell taco seasoning
A few shakes of Cholula for those that like it hot!

Directions

In a frying pan, cook the ground beef until browned over medium heat. Add onions and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Set aside.

Put ground beef and onion, beans, corn, sauce, tomatoes, green chile peppers, water and seasoning packets in a slow cooker. Mix to blend. Cook on low setting for about 8 hrs. On high for 4-5 hrs.

Serve with your favorite toppings.
Mine are sour cream, cheese, fresh cilantro, green onions, cooked white rice, avocado chunks and corn chips!
And of course it is extra good when you have some fresh out of the oven cornbread to go with it. YUM!

If you make this please let me know and share what you think. Or if you do something different with yours, I would love to know.
