When a summer pool get slimy save yourself the work, let two tennis balls float in the pool for an hour. The balls fuzzy exterior will sop up sunscreen residue and body oils, leaving the water sparkling. If you try this please share and let us know if it works.
Brighten up "allergy eyes"When seasonal sniffles make your eyes red and puffy, hide the irritation by sweeping gold or bronze eye shadow across your lids. The warm yellow hue will counteract the redness while the metallic shimmer will reflect light, making your eyes look brighter and taking away from any under-eye bags.Spring-Cleaning ChecklistGo here to get a printable checklist and some great ideas for your spring cleaning.![]() | ||

Pests In The Garden
I am doing a garden this year and I hate the thoughts of the bugs eating on my plants. I just read this little tip and I am going to try it. Another plus is I love to cook with garlic and I will have plenty if I do this.By planting garlic around your garden, you can deter bugs from taking up residence. The smell repels many pesky insects. Make sure you plant these around the outer rim of the garden, and next to plants that are particularly likely to be attacked by pests. An added plus of planting garlic is the bulb can be used for cooking and eating as well.
Carryall Apron
Can't sleep. It makes me crazy when this happens. I just read about this and then I also saw it on Dr Oz. When you are getting close to going to bed, eat a TBS of almond butter. You can add it on crackers or just enjoy it alone. It is a rich source of magnesium, a natural tranquilizer that relaxes muscles, plus tryptophan, an amino acid that boosts the production of sleep-inducing brain chemicals. I am definitely going to try it. If you try it, let me know how it works.
