A Tigger Cake for my grandson's 1st Birthday!
You can see on his face he was in deep thought while eating this cake.
Gorgeous little Birthday Boy!
I started with orange gumpaste. I formed a head, ears, legs, body, arms and a tail. I took a wood skewer and inserted into the body so that I could attached the head.
Next I took the head and cut an opening for the mouth.
I then added yellow gumpaste.
Here I added a light pink nose and tongue.
Then two little black eyes and brows.
I attached the pieces together with a little water and then added stripes.
I gently presse the head onto the wood skewer that I had interested at the first. Then I painted some toothpicks black and used them for whiskers.
I made a little party hat and present for Tigger. I also made a large fondant bow for the smash cake.
Wow that is amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Carolynn!

Darling cake! You are very talented!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable! My son would like this because he was Tigger for Halloween. He's #15 on this page: http://www.buzzfeed.com/scope/24-courageous-sport-fans-you-wish-you-could-be. I got him a Tigger ornament for Christmas. Yes, big boys like Tigger too!
ReplyDeleteYou have just made a grown girl tear up--I am, doubtless, one of the biggest Tigger fans around (Milne or Disney), and this cake is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this precious gem, and a happy belated to your grandson ('cuz he's the only one!)!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! I haven't gotten as far into gum paste as created a character, but you're tutorial makes it look relatively easy. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteSimply fantastic! Would love to have the Tigger as a toy pattern - he'd make a great addition to the ColdhamCuddlies family and be a fitting brother to my Long-Legged Tigger who is already with us! Isobel at www.ColdhamCuddliescalling.blogspot.com!
ReplyDeleteWOW that is so awesome, and you make it look so easy like I might actually be able to do it easy. Thank you so much for sharing on We Made That!
