Pizza Crust Recipe
If three weeks ago you would have shown me this picture my mouth would have started to salivate.
Pizza is one of my most favorite things and if someone asked if I could have gotten sick of eating pizza everyday I would have laughed. I started helping at a call center to get people to get out and vote. It was to last for three weeks. They were nice enough to buy us lunch each day. PIZZA! Oh at first I was in Heaven. I thought pizza everyday at lunch for three weeks. Whoo hoo!
Well I made it for 2 1/2 weeks. Yes that's all I could do. When they brought it in after that, I didn't even like the smell. To my amazement while everyone around me ate pizza I ate a banana. Not for health reasons mind you, I was actually sick of pizza. I haven't checked the scale yet. I am not brave enough. I thing I will eat bananas for lunch everyday before I do that. :) Will I ever eat pizza again? You know it. Just give me a week or two.
Below is a recipe of a homemade pizza crust I love. Recipe courtesy of Bobby Flay Try it out and let me know what you think of it. If you have a better one please share it. I would love to try yours. (Well in a few weeks that is)
Pizza Dough
Recipe courtesy Bobby Flay- Prep Time:
- 20 min
- Inactive Prep Time:
- 1 hr 10 min
- Cook Time:
- --
- Level:
- Easy
- Serves:
- 2 (14-inch) pizza crusts
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 to 4 cups bread flour, plus more for rolling (Chef's Note: Using bread flour will give you a much crisper crust. If you can't find bread flour, you can substitute it with all-purpose flour which will give you a chewier crust.)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 envelope instant dry yeast
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cups water, 110 degrees F
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus 2 teaspoons
Directions
Combine the bread flour, sugar, yeast and
kosher salt in the bowl of a stand mixer and combine. While the mixer is
running, add the water and 2 tablespoons of the oil and beat until the
dough forms into a ball. If the dough is sticky, add additional flour, 1
tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together in a solid ball.
If the dough is too dry, add additional water, 1 tablespoon at a time.
Scrape the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead into a
smooth, firm ball.
Grease a large bowl with the remaining 2 teaspoons olive oil, add
the dough, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put it in a warm area to
let it double in size, about 1 hour. Turn the dough out onto a lightly
floured surface and divide it into 2 equal pieces. Cover each with a
clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let them rest for 10 minutes. July 31, 2012

These stories
will inspire, encourage, and motivate.
If you or your daughter read this book, I would love for you to come back and share your thoughts and opinions. Now a little bit about who wrote these stories.
Dawn Olsen, Beth Olsen, Christina Christensen, Teresa B. Clark and many
others shared their short stories to be put in this book. This was an Iona, ID local effort spear
headed by Marilyn O. Diehl and her sister Marta. Several of them are dear friends, one being Anna Christine Wilson.
A small town librarian, married mother of two and this is just the beginning!
She is now working on her own novel and here is a sneak peek...
"In the words of John Lennon "Life is what happens when you are busy
making other plans" Ethan Knight had his life all planned out before he
graduated from High School: marry his high school sweet heart, join the
Marines and be the first to find Osama Bin Laden, come home a war hero
and work with his Dad as a Paramedic in his home town of Twin Falls,
Idaho. But things didn't go as plan and Ethan finds himself charting a
new course. Will his wife of two years ever forgive him? And will
their love be able to withstand the test of time and distance? And what
other forces are at work behind the scenes?"
Sounds great doesn't it. I will be reading this one.

I Don't Like Spiders and Snakes
This little guy (I think it's a guy) has an interesting story. My daughter saw her baby tugging on something hanging out from under the fridge. At first she thought is was a cord but when she got closer she saw it was a snake. Yes a snake in her house. She had her brother come over to get it and found that it was stuck on a bug sticky trap. Long story short, my son got it off with cooking oil, put it in a bucket and now my other son that lives at home has the snake in an enclosure. But the coolest part is in the pictures below. Have to share!

Toe Separators or Yoga Toes
I know... strange post. But I need some opinions here.
I was cleaning out my bathroom drawer and once again came across theses toes separators that I purchased years ago. I don't even remember why, but I do remember putting them on and immediately taking them off. Ouch! I put them back in the drawer and they have been there ever since. They say that these can be worn while you’re relaxing, watching TV, or just putting your feet up at the end of the day. Who are "They" ? The last thing I wanted to do when I put them on is relax, watch TV or anything of the sort. Well I took them out of the drawer deciding whether to toss them or put them back in the drawer to get knocked around for another couple of years. Well I tried them on again. Oh my gosh, they hurt so bad and I didn't even have them pushed down all the way. I figured that might mean that I really need to use them.
Well I decided to give them another go. I am going to start out with about 2-3 minutes a day and try to work up from there. We will see what happens and if I start to notice any difference.
Is there anybody out there that uses these that has had a good experience?
Toe Separator Benefits
1. Stretch and exercise toes. Stretching can provide immediate relief to a long day of foot muscle and ligament use. (So if I exercise and stretch my toes, will they become slender and flexible? :)
2. Help you avoid costly surgeries.
3. With use, toes begin to realign to rid you of foot pain. (Now this is probably why I bought them)
4. Can be used as a non-surgical treatment for bunions, hammer toes, crooked toes, heel pain & general foot comfort.

Pioneer Day July 24th
Pioneer Day is celebrated by Mormons the world over on July 24th of each year. This day is a time for reverence, remembrance, and recreation; it is marked by programs, picnics, treks, tributes, games, and storytelling. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we proudly honor and deeply respect our pioneer heritage. Whether our connection to those early men and women is genealogical or spiritual in nature, we are strengthened by the memory of those sturdy souls who loved the gospel of Jesus Christ more than life itself. Their lives and dedication inspire and uplift us.

Swan Valley Camping
![]() | |||
| If you are ever in Eastern Idaho you must definitely drive through Swan Valley. It is beautiful in the summer. We went to creek falls to do a little *Peterson camping. We roasted weenies, made tin foil dinners and smores. After that we went on an adventure, as the kids called it. We followed little trails along the beautiful snake river! It was very hot so I was glad to be done with our little adventure. Nothing like wanting to get this fun over with. But I have to admit that I love spending time with the kids and grand-kids. On our way out we stopped at the Rainey Creek Store, home of the square ice cream cone. You can't pass by without getting one of them, it just wouldn't be right. Well that was enough camping for me, I'm off to take a long shower. |

Personalized Spray Bottles
![]() |
| Whenever my grand-kids are over, they love to get out my spray bottle. They squirt it into the sink, the tub, my plants, or anywhere outside. Problem is, they always were fighting over it. So the other day I went to the dollar store and bought three spray bottles. I used my Silhouette and some Expressions Vinyl I then cut out their names and put them on the bottles. You should have seen their faces, you would have thought it was Christmas. If I would have known that this would make them so excited, I could have saved money at Christmas and just given them these! LOL! |
