Sparky cake from Frankenweenie

This week I made an 18" life size Sparky cake from the Frankenweenie movie. It was red velvet with buttercream and covered in fondant.

  5. aw, little update: I submitted this to cakewrecks.com as a Sunday Sweet!
Every Sunday, they feature amazing cakes from all over the world (as opposed to appalling miscreations all through the week), more often than not under a common theme. I'm hoping that with Hallowe'en coming up, your cake might get its spotlight?!

  11. This is one of the best cakes I've ever seen! I really want to see the film but my son won't come with me. We once starting watching Tim Burton's 1984 version of Frankenweenie and I think it emotionally scarred him!
