Skull Candlestick Holder

Day 15
Wow the month is half over and I have so much I want to share. A BIG THANKS to all of you for stopping by and for your sweet comments! Now on to my next project.

I hit the thrift and dollar store and found some great finds. I put them all together and this is what I got!

I got the gold candle stick holder at the thrift store for two dollars. The single candle holder and the skull I got at the dollar store. This can be done with any similar items.

I spray painted the candle holders black and let dry.

Then I glued the skull on the single candlestick holder with some E-6000 glue. You could also use hot glue but this glue is very strong. Only set back is you must let it dry overnight with the E-6000.
All dry and ready to go on.

I then put candles in and lit them. I took some of the black soot from the wick and rubbed it on the candles to make the candles look older.

I put a tea light candle in the skull and then put the skull in the center of the candlestick holder.

Next I added a few spider webs and a couple of old items I had around the house.

There you have it. A spooky looking decoration or centerpiece for very inexpensive.

  1. Spooky is right. I love that you created that eerie scene with things from the dollar store, a thrift store and some things you already had around the house. Isn't it amazing how that lovely lace can add to the scary effect when placed next to your candles and skull?
