Denture Cake

I have seen a couple of these cakes and so I knew I had to do one for my husbands 51st Birthday.

As I was looking at different dentures to model my cake after, I got really grossed out. I thought, how appetizing can a denture cake really be.

I made two 9X13 french vanilla cakes. I stacked them and then cut a denture shape. Yes I broke my top cake. :(

I used the cut off pieces to add a ridge along the top.

Next I crumb coated the whole thing.

I then covered it with fondant, cut out and added fondant teeth.

The colors look so different because of the lighting. This picture is more of the true color that it was.

Not the best tutorial. Cakes stress me out as I am making them, therefore I forget to take pictures along the way!
