I purchased this cute round table from Hobby Lobby. I liked the owl
but it just didn't go with the decorations in my house.
So I taped around the table and ruffed it up with a little sandpaper.
I took a flat black paint and sprayed the top.
I hate to sand and the residue that goes with it, so I had my husband sand the top until the colors from below started to show through.
He then sprayed a clear coat of matte spray on top.
Done!
Finished and just waiting for it to dry...
Excited about my new table!
You really changed the overall appearance of this table! I saw this one at HL on clearance and actually put it in my cart, but then I saw another table that was a few dollars cheaper and the original price was higher so I put the one like yours back. Your table has a nice weight to it and I like the way you finished it very much. I plan on trying my hand with Annie Sloan chalk paint sometime in the future with the one I got. Hopefully it will look as good as yours.
