Quickest way to freshen the air in a room!

I am going to share five great ways to freshen the room and then I will share my idea of the quickest way to
make a room smell fresh!

Open the Windows
Fresh air is always the best air freshener. Open a few to get the air flowing through the rooms of your house.

Vacuum the Room
Not only the carpets but your upholstery and curtains too. I like to lightly sprinkle baking soda on my carpet and then vacuum it up.

Essential Oils
It is great to diffuse these in your home. If you don't have a diffuser, put a few drops and place one or two in the room. Grapefruit and Sweet Orange are two of my favorites.

Baking Soda
(baking soda absorbs odors) Open a box and place it in an inconspicuous place in the room.

Citrusy Air Freshener
Simmer a couple of lemons cut in half and some orange peels on the stove.
Here is what I do and I love the fresh scent.

Simple...

Start with a fan. Large or small it doesn't matter.

Next take a dryer sheet and get it slightly damp, and then wring it out. I will also state the obvious so I don't get a negative comment here :)  Make sure no water is dripping from the sheet, we don't want water near electrical appliances.

Turn on the fan and place the sheet on the back.
The air will hold it in place and pull the fresh scent through, spreading it into your home.

You will have an instant great smelling room!

  8. Oh they're great tips. I always have windows open even in winter (but it's not as cold here) I like the citrus idea I have a massive lemon tree will do that!

  12. Clever! I've sprayed Febreeze in front of the AC vent before, but putting a dryer sheet on a fan is taking it up to the next level! Ha ha!
