Yummiest Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup real butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 325F degrees.
Mix together the flour, baking soda, cornstarch and salt in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together until smooth. Mix in the egg, egg yolk and vanilla. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix together. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts. Cover the dough and chill for about two - three hours or over night. When you take the dough out of the refrigerator, allow it to slightly soften. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Make the dough into balls and bake for 11 to 12 minutes. Do not over bake. Allow cookies to remain on cookie sheet for about 10 minutes.

Grab a glass of cold milk and enjoy!

I had a similar recipe and we loved it. For some reason I can't find that particular recipe, so I'm glad I saw this post. I will definitely try yours.

  2. Thanks so much Winnie. There are several of these recipes that use corn starch. I never used it and I think it makes a big difference.
