How Does Your Garden Grow

I had to share my gardening story. We haven't had a garden in about 15 years. So this year we decided we would try a little garden as you can see in the pictures. I was so excited when stuff actually started growing. Then the other afternoon my son told my husband and I to hurry and come look. There was a rock chuck sitting in our garden. I thought it was so cute and so I grabbed my camera to take a few shots. You can't tell in the pictures but he was pretty good sized. After my husband showed me how it had eaten all the kale, peas and lettuce I didn't think it was so cute anymore. So much for my garden. I hope we can catch it soon!

Hamburger Cake and Fries

 
I made this hamburger cake for my son's Birthday.

I started by making a round yellow cake. I was making cupcakes so I didn't want a large cake. This is a six inch pan.

After the cake cooled I cut of the top and bottom and ate the center. :)

Next I made a milk chocolate cake in the six inch pan. I cut the top and bottom off and saved the center for the burger.

I made some yellow MMF and cut it in a square for the cheese. I then made some buttercream frosting and colored some red and some green. I then put it in a sandwich bag and cut the corner off. I then added some red for the catsup and green for some lettuce. Add the top, sprinkle with sesame seeds and you've got yourself a hamburger cake!

For the fries I made sugar cookie dough.

I rolled it out and cut out long strips. I then sprinkled them with sugar before and after baking.

I also made mini hamburgers out of cupcakes the same as I made the cake.

The kids loved them!

She didn't want it at first but the minute she bit into it and it was sweet she couldn't get enough!

Wizards of Waverly Place Cake

I made this cake for my grand daughters seventh Birthday. She loves Selena Gomez and Wizards of Waverly Place. The cake was Almond Cherry.

I used three different colors for the layers inside to match the outside of the cake.

Grape Ambrosia Sherbet

I am blogging about this sherbet because I love it, you gotta try it, and I would be selfish not to share. This is a three gallon container of Grape Ambrosia Sherbet that my daughter and son in law got me. Ever since I was little my family has been getting this. I an not a fan of grape flavors of any kind, but this is an exception. You can only purchase it in three places. Ogden, Ut, SLC, UT, and Las Vegas. If you get the chance try it!

Okay I have one complaint. They have always added walnuts to this sherbet. This last batch didn't have any. Yes it is still the yummiest  but I just had to have walnuts, so I added my own.
